My Facebook timeline (you no longer call it wall after the facebook update) was filled with this spam video from many friends who clicked on the link on their timeline. The thumbnail posted along with the link on the timeline looks like a video and adding to it the most cleverest part the spammer did was adding the users name on the post in the timeline. This urges the user to further think the video was posted by his/her friend since it directly calls out their name and asks them to watch the video.

Though you may already be knowing that it was a spam after you clicked on the link, You still might be spamming your friends timeline every hour or so and many of my friends told they had no idea how it was happening. This post will help you to stop the spam post from being spread on your friend’s timeline.

How the Spam Infected You.

Given below are the steps that you passed through when you clicked on the link on your timeline. I have done this inside a sandboxie.

Step 1. You clicked on the link and Landed on a page which is similar to the one below.

Step 2.You were asked to click on the Install Plugin in order to watch the video, You were so desperate to watch the video that you least bothered to look around the page and notice that its not a Trustworthy Youtube page. Finally you clicked on the link.

Step 3. You clicked on Allow incase you were using Firefox.

Step 4. You clicked on Install after the countdown. If you had bothered to look a bit you would have noticed the site serving the addon under the Youtube Extension heading.

Step 5. Refreshed the page > Either watched a lame fake video else Punched your fist on the desk realizing it was fake. :/

How to Disinfect Yourself from the Spam.

Firefox Users:

Step 1. Open Browser > Click on Options > Addons OR Press Ctrl + Shift +A.

Step 2. Click on Remove button beside the Youtube Extension or something similar.

Step 3. Restart Browser.

Chrome Users :

Step 1. Open Browser > Click on the Spanner Icon (Settings) > Tools > Extensions.

Step 2. Click on Remove button beside Extension Youtube or something similar.

After performing the above steps, It is recommended to use CCleaner application and clear all cookies and caches of your browsers.

How to Prevent Spam Posts on Your Timeline:

Till the spam is blocked, It is recommended that you disable others ability to post on your timeline.

To block it, Follow these instructions.

Open Privacy Settings > How you connect > Who can post on your timeline > Change it to ‘Only Me’.

These instructions should save you from the spam attacks, Do read our Facebook Security Guide for more information on protecting your account.

It is suggested that you share this post on your profile and let others know how they can stop spamming from their profiles.

Where at one side Pakistanis are getting angry on this photoshoot , the people across the border are also seeing this photoshoot as “unexpected” and “unbelievable”. It is interesting to note here that all major bollywood actresses avoid these kind of photoshoots to NOT TO disheart their fan following.

Veena’s naked photoshoot will not only lead to another controversy, but it has also proved that the actress is trying to be the third class cheap actress and looking towards being a P***star in future.

Veena Malik Starring in a 3D Horror Film

We try to keep this space as little as we can for Veena Malik (because of her awesomeness), but I couldn’t resist typing this one out. While most Pakistani celebrities can’t get to act in films at all, Veena Malik is being starred in a 3D film, which has gotten me to wonder that being Veena actually pays off.

The shoot is being done right now in a south-Indian jungle, name of which has been kept secret because of the security concerns. Talking to Bollywood Hungama about the film, Veena revealed

“It’s really hard to shoot. For one, we are shooting in the wilderness. There are no luxury hotels, no daily comforts. Then it’s a 3D film, not like the other 3D films in Hindi where the 2D format is converted into 3D. We are shooting in 3D which means every shot takes hours sometimes. It’s really time-consuming because I am playing both the ‘thriller’ and ‘horror’ element of the film.”

It is interesting to know that Veena is being starred in one of the first actual 3D films to come out from India, Ra-one not being one because it was converted from 2D.

To our surprise, Veena will also be doing her own stunts.

“Lots of wirework and flips and somersaults and bruises and cuts. I am roughing it out here in the jungles and enjoying every bit of it” told Veena.

This ought to be fun. Fingers crossed.

Shahrukh Khan turns 46 today. The superstar plans to spend it with good hours of sleep, catching up with his kids, and a party in the evening.

The King Khan has been living out of a suitcase for a while now. First, he set off on a whirlwind tour of India to promote his ‘baby’ Ra.One; then he flew to Dubai, London and Toronto for the respective premieres of the film. He arrived in Delhi for the Indian F1 Grand Prix and the after-party with Lady Gaga. All this while, he has been repeatedly saying that he’s missing his kids Aryan and Suhana.

Finally, on Tuesday Shahrukh Khan flew into Mumbai to a hearty welcome. The birthday celebration began in the plane itself.

“Thanx so much boys & girls. celebrated my birthday in the plane 30000 ft in the air...then on the tarmac...finally with my lil girl & boy,” Shahrukh wrote on Twitter on the eve of his birthday.

And when Shahrukh reached home there were people waiting outside to wish him. The love and adulation made Shahrukh teary-eyed.

“(I) was so touched when i reached home...soo many ppl waiting outside the house and sang happy birthday for me. had tears in my eyes,” Shahrukh added.

So how does he plan to celebrate his birthday today?

“Going to sleep now...this birthday will celebrate with a well deserved many hours of sleep...thanx for ur wishes. dont feel older or wiser..” Shahrukh wrote.

We hear that the friends of the superstar will be coming together in the evening for a birthday party.

Tron Light Cycle Is On The Streets Now

Parker Brothers has created an all-electric replica model of a Tron Light Cycle. This new Tron Light cycle is powered by a 96 volt electric motor, and some lithium ion battery cells, it is capable of speeds over 100mph and can travel for about 100 miles on one charge. It takes around 35 minutes to charge the Electric Tron Light cycle fully.

Pricing and availability are unknown at this point, but as a reference, the old, gas-powered version costs close to $55,000. Check out some footage of the electric lightcycle tooling around a shopping mall parking lot, as well as a brief glimpse at the bike’s internals in the video below:

Rooftop Playground (Denmark)

Talk about living on the edge! Danish firm JDS Architects has designed one incredibly cool rooftop playground in a densely populated area of Copenhagen. Located on top of three penthouses, the shock absorbing surface (aka the grass hill) is the perfect place for daredevil kids and their worried parents to run rampant. For quieter times, they can marvel at the cityscape on the viewing platform or relax around the outdoor barbecue.

A little freaky, don't you think? Let's look on the bright side. Although that low fence must be a nightmare for parents, children who come out unscathed from that death defying experience may grow up to become even more adventurous and confident than the average person!

Rooftop Swimming Pool (Singapore)

If you fancy a dip in this pool, you'll need a head for heights - it's 55 storeys up. But swimming to the edge won't be quite as risky as it looks. While the water in the infinity pool seems to end in a sheer drop, it actually spills into a catchment area where it is pumped back into the main pool. At three times the length of an Olympic pool and 650ft up, it is the largest outdoor pool in the world at that height. It features in the impressive, boat-shaped 'SkyPark' perched atop the three towers that make up the world's most expensive hotel, the £4billion Marina Bay Sands development in Singapore.

The infinity pool on the roof is in the 'SkyPark' which spans the three towers of the hotel. The platform itself is longer than the Eiffel tower laid down and is one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Infinity pools give the effect that the water extends to the horizon. In reality, the water spills over the edge into a catchment below, and is then pumped back into the pool. The pools have two circulation systems. The first functions like that of a regular pool, filtering and heating the water in the main pool. The second filters the water in the catch basin and returns it to the upper pool.

Rooftop Trailer Park (South Africa)

Atop Cape Town's swanky Grand Daddy Hotel is a trailer park like no other. The Airstream Penthouse Park is perched on top of the hotel, and is one of the most talked about, hip and happening places in South Africa. More trailer flash than trailer trash, seven imported vintage Airstream Trailers were handed over to local artists and designers for an imaginative makeover. The result is a collection of rooftop suites that plays with the imagination and the senses. Rooms in the hotel start at 945 rands ($90).

Rooftop Roller Coaster (Japan)

Built on the roof-top of an eight-story outlet store in a busy city area, this scary Half Pipe roller coaster was never opened. According to some sources online the problem is with the structure of the building. While the building is capable of handling the weight of the roller coaster, the lateral forces presented an unexpected problem and is why the roller coaster never opened. This might just be the coolest movie theater in Australia. Oh, yeah, and they serve alcoholic drinks, too – what more can you ask for? Owned and operated by a team of artists, the Rooftop Cinema plays classic, current and art-house films in the open air on the top of a six-story building. Sit back and relax in a colorful striped deck chair and just try not to be distracted by the bustle of the city around you.

Patches of greenery in Singapore's Housing and Development Board (HDB) estates are popping up on the top decks of multi-storey car parks and on the rooftops of some residential blocks. Taking sky-rise greenery literally to new heights are the Sky Gardens at Pinnacle@ Duxton, Singapore's tallest public housing building at 50 stories. These distinctive gardens, located on the 26th and 50th floors, are said to be the longest continuous sky gardens in the world, linking seven residential tower blocks together. In the works are plans to implement nine hectares of extensive green roofs – low maintenance rooftop greenery – over the next three to five years in existing HDB estates where rooftop gardens are not feasible.

The Viennese architects Wolf Prix and Helmut Swiczinsky, akaCoop Himmelb(l)au, made their reputation on blind, gestural sketches that, sometimes, became buildings. These sketches accomplish many things, three that I would like to focus on: capture a feeling, create a unique design process, and lead to complex structural and design solutions. The wax figure is a replica of Kareena’s look from the song “Mauja Hi Mauja” from director Imtiaz Ali’s blockbuster movie Jab We Met.

The woman who aged from 23 to 73 in a few days

These pictures may look like an attractive woman in her 20s and her grandmother.

But they are said to be the same person – apparently taken just days apart.

The young Vietnamese woman at the centre of the improbable medical case, Nguyen Thi Phuong, claims the transformation may have come about because of an extreme allergy to seafood.

Nguyen, 26, says she developed this puffy face and sagging skin in 2008 but was too poor to seek treatment. Earlier this month, doctors said they would examine her free of charge.

Nguyen’s husband, carpenter Thanh Tuyen, insists the story is true and his love has not faded for his once-beautiful wife.

She has always worn wear a mask in public to hide her appearance from prying eyes, but she has now sought help from doctors to see if they can reverse the 'ageing' effect.

Displaying photos of a beautiful 21-year-old woman on her wedding day in 2006, Mrs Nguyen said: 'Five years ago, I was rather pretty and not so ugly like this, right?'

Mrs Nguyen believes her condition was caused by a life-long allergy to seafood.

She said she had suffered a particularly bad reaction in 2008.

'I was really itchy all over my body. I had to scratch even while sleeping.'

Phuong said she took some medicine bought at a local pharmacy instead of going to the hospital because her and her husband Tuyen, now 33, were too poor to afford it.

She said: 'After one month of taking the drugs, I became less itchy but hives remained on my skin.
Then I switched to traditional medicine and all the hives disappeared, together with my itching. However, my skin began to sag and fold.'

Mrs Nguyen then took another kind of traditional medicine to treat her rapid-aging skin problem - but to no avail.

Doctors say it may have been the long-term use of traditional medicines that caused the condition as they are often spiked with corticoids. These steroids speed up the effects of the unregulated remedies but could also have triggered the rare skin disease mastocytosis, where the body produces too many mast cells.

The couple do not remember what the medicine was or which pharmacy they got it from.

Mrs Nguyen said: 'We considered that it was our destiny and I quit treatment in 2009. Now I always wear a face mask whenever I go out.

'The skin on my face, chest and belly have folds like an old woman who has given birth several times although I have never had a child.

'But the rapid-aging syndrome hasn't affected my menstrual cycle, hair, teeth, eyes and mind.'

In 2010, the couple migrated to the southern province of Binh Phuoc's Bu Dop District where they rent a small wooden house.

Mr Nguyen continued to work as a carpenter while Phuong got a job at a cashew-nut processing factory. Both earn a total of less than £92 a month - which means they cannot afford an examination at a major hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Tuyen said his wife's disease has not affected his love for her or their relationship.

He said: 'I married Phuong when she was a beautiful woman. I have followed her through her disease and have never been shocked at all.

'It's not easy to talk about one's own marital affairs. Just simply understand that I still love her very much.'

Mrs Nguyen said her husband's love is the reason she is able to persevere in the face of adversity.

She said: 'He still loves me like before despite the fact that I look old and ugly. With him, I feel more confident to live and work.'

On October 2, doctors from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital in Ben Tre Province said they would examine Phuong for free and send her to the HCMC Dermatology Hospital if they failed to diagnose her condition.

There is already some disagreement among doctors over the cause of the rare condition.

Doctor Vo Thi Bach Suong of the HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, said: 'She might have taken corticoid for a long time. Many traditional pharmacists use corticoid in their medicine, leading to side effects like swelled face and abnormally-growing skin sections.'

Nguyen Hoai Nam, another lecturer at the university, agreed that Phuong may suffer from the wrongful use of corticoid. (Source: Dailymail)

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR?

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror I.e., they can see you, but you can’t see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.

It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of Mirror we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the “fingernail test.” It doesn’t cost you anything. It is simple to do.

This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.

Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

These jars are the incredible work of Japanese architect Akinobu. His wonderful designs are so tiny it’s unbelievable. One would imagine he uses tweezers to fit the materials inside, but how does he shape and so intricately design the palm trees and the people? That’s definitely a mystery.
