Gallery Show - Angles Gallery, Santa Monica, CA

I will be part of a group show at Angles Gallery in Santa Monica, CA. The show is titled 'True Love Always' and will have many talented painters in it. Including: Rebecca Campbell, Alex Kanevsky, Donald Baechler, Raymond Pettibon, Patty Wickman, et al. I will have two pieces in the show and I will be attending the opening. The show runs from Feb. 16 - March 24 and the opening is from 7-9 pm on Friday, Feb. 16th. Angles Gallery is at 2230 Main St., Santa Monica, CA (310) 396-5019.

Here's the new Polite Winter panel. #043 8"x8" Ballpoint Pen, Graphite, Acrylic on Board. I wanted to do something using blue/green colors with a rather simple, almost stark, composition. This is the result.

DRAWING FOR THE COMPOUND GALLERY

The Compound Gallery in Portland, OR has asked me to be a part of their show, "Black & White" opening on June 1st. The theme of the show is any piece of artwork executed using only the colors black and white and the grayscale in between. I've been lucky enough to be a part of several shows at the Compound Gallery in the past. They have a great gallery space along with a store that sells cool and trendy merchandise. I decided to do a drawing for the show and below is my contribution. I rarely incorporate animals into my artwork but my fellow artists/friends Mu Pan and James Jean have inspired me to do so. I had a bit of fun with this one. It's 29 in x 23 in, graphite on bristol board.
